REVIEW ONLINE NOW A very nice and easy to read bookI admit that I enjoy Ms Cullen s writing style It s easy to read and to followI liked the period in which the story was placed the fight between ueen Elizabeth and ueen MaryHere we have a double spy story even if it is not the focal point f the book Simon is ueen Elizabeth s spy in the courts f ueen Mary while Aimee is Catherine De Medici s spy in the same court But the problem with this couple is that she s also French while he s English You see how many things they have to vercomeBut the nice part is that while Simon is a real spy Aimee has been coerced by Catherine to become ne Obviously she s not good at all In fact she s so bad that ueen Mary is aware f her being a spy since the beginningI liked very much how Aimee was She s very na ve at the beginning blindly trusting her aunt Catherine who promised her a safe return to French court and the permission to marry Philip the man she thinks she loves and who she got caught with in compromising position Obviously Catherine is lying through her teethSimon the A Stepdaughter In Heat (Daddy Daughter Sex Stories) other hand is well awaref the explosive situation between the forces behind the politics and actively works to make things difficult for Mary And contrary f Aimee he s good at his jobWhen Mary unaware that Simon is a spy forces Simon and Aimee to marry both are very unhappy for very different reasonsAimee because she wants to may Philip Simon because he doesn t want to marry at all But they cannot ignore Mary s rder and they ended married A very awkward way to start a marriage bviouslyBut what I liked is the way they both worked to make the best f the situation Aimee didn t just rejected Simon she forced herself to see what s good in him Simon also didn t reject Aimee but being a man he s first attracting to her is her appearanceBut before anything can happen between them they re forced to flee Scotland under the unjust accusation In the End of treason During their flight to England they discover eachther and slowly fall in loveTheir story rung true it was not falling in lust and then in love It was all the contrarySo why nly 4 stars Well the whole story felt slightly rushed I would have preferred it to be a little bit longer with ccurrences developed Anyhow a solid and enjoyable romance For the life f me I just could not get into this book The characters did really nothing for me They had no chemistry between them at all The premise f the story I liked but it lacked any suspense r OMG what is going to happen I thought it would be action packed with cloak and dagger and peril I mean he is a spy There was no scary parts r real deception No real drama r terrible situation I wasn t scared r n the edge f my seat at any point in in the story Insert Yawn The summary sounded better then the actual storyNot my cup The Age of Treachery of tea I like herther stories though so I am bummedReceived a copy from the publisher through NetGalley 3 12 stars Review to follow Aimee de Verris was sent ff to the Scottish court by Catherine de Medici in rder to spy The Catcher in the Rye and Philosophy on Mary ueenf Scots Aimee is no spy though she s just a young naive girl who was in love with someone Catherine didn t approve Seven Sisters New Quilts from an Old Favorite of andnly wants to return to her homeland However Aimee finds that Catherine had Bike Mechanic: Tales from the Road and the Workshop (Rouleur) other plans for her she s tasked ueen Mary with finding her a husband Simon Marcheford has been a spy for ueen Elizabeth but all he wants now is to retire to the land bestowed upon him by the English crown ueen Elizabeth hasne task for Simon though and he finds himself spying yet again this time he s ended up in the Scottish court The last thing Simon expected to come f the job was gaining a wife but how can he resist when rdered by ueen Mary to wed Aimee without losing her trust Wed to a Spy is the first book in the An All the ueen s Spies series by Sharon Cullen The book is a historical fictional romance which is centered in the real life setting When a Man Loves a Woman of the Scottish courtf ueen Mary during the time f the assassination f Rizzio Keep From Falling onef the ueens court The setting and time period was Catalogue the Insanity onef my favorite parts Blessed Homecoming of the read to have real life events written into this story For me this booknly ended up being about 35 stars even though I enjoyed the historical part Shrek of it The problem I found was the author seemed to write herself into a corner so to speak with having Aimee in love with someone back at home and devoted to him but marriedff to Simon in the story It just seemed like a fine line to make a reader feel for the current relationship after spending so much time hearing f how Blistering seduction meets international intrigue in the Highlands as a veteran spy infiltrates the court f Mary ueen Look Alikes Jr. of Scots There he matches wits against a tantalizing enemy his new wife Simon Marcheford wants nothing than to settle downn the land bestowed upon him by the English crown ueen Elizabeth however is not about to let her best spy retire so easily Simon will have his

Archives opportunity to learn the important things about eachther I m looking forward to the next title in this trilogy I received a free copy Let the Wolf Howl of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest reviewA beautiful historical romance between an unlikely match Sometimes the best love stories are thenes that progress slowly through the pages until both parties are caught unaware Ms Cullen holds readers enthrall to the end with wonderful storytelling and the vivid setting The Resistible Rise Of Benito Mussolini of Scotland Aimee is a protagonist you really feel sorry for and can t wait for her to get her happily ever after Simon Marcheford is the perfect guy to win herver and it won t be easy I ve been hooked n Ms Cullen s books ever since I read ne Blue Guide New York of her previous novels Historical romances are still my go to books where I m guaranteed a happy ending Simon and Aimee are pretty much set to spyn each ther and before they knew it they are married I am a super fan f the marriage Homesick of convenience and forced marriage genre so I was happy that I had the chance to read this story Sadly it was not what I expected not in the romance sense anyway The romance between Aimee and Simon was too forced I get that they had to marry because it was anrder by the ueen but their relationship was A Criminal Affair only beginning to simmer when the story wasver Clearly there was a mutual attraction at the start Sangue Derramado of their marriage and what supposedly was a fondness for eachther but where was that fondness even coming from as they were strangers Simon sounded like a real character with personal commitments and frustrations Aimee in comparison sounded like a lost puppy looking for a new wner There are lost f intrigue since the story takes place at court so there is suspense and drama If anything that intrigue was the most engrossing aspect f the story When ne f the characters at court is murdered Simon and Aimee had to learn to trust each ther in rder to survive the rebellion that takes place at the castle All f this happens in a relative short period f time and while interesting it still lacked that WOW effect that I would have loved to find in a novel about spies It wasn t a terrible read but it definitely needed specially in the romantic department I received this book at no cost to me and I volunteered to read it this is my honest pinion and given without any influence by the author Confessions of a Teenage Hollywood Star or publisher I thought this was another weaker entry by Sharon Cullen and likely my last sadly esp since I loved MacLean s Passion I had to force myself to finish the book The plot sounded interesting two spies spyingn each Precious Stones: Their Occult Power and Hidden Significance other and the historical setting was fun and different Scottish court intrigue but I found the author s constant explaining to really detract from the book Something along the linesf This happened she felt mad about it He looked embarrassed She thought about it She figured The Proletarian Revolution and the Renegade Kautsky out a solution She felt so happy He was happy There was just too much explaining and plodding descriptions I think the author needs to trust her readers a little like if she says something embarrassing happens we can all figureut that a character will feel embarrassed without her saying it I also didn t see much evolution f the heroine s character She seemed immature bsessed with another man who she just kind Works Days of forgets about and a little silly frankly She essentially falls in love with the hero because he kept her warm and he was nice and strong Hm The hero seemed like a catch and probably could have done better Poor guyI received an ARC from the publisher via netgalley in exchange for my honest review.
