T and powerful teen witch who can manifest what she needs to get through challenges and seek higher guidance Winter has to break ancient curses to be with her sweetheart and live the life she desires With the help of another witch Clover Winter is able to solve mysteries and gain momentum oh the suspense Winter s Curse has an exciting mix of romance darkness and family drama I was drawn in by all of the details it truly made the story for me There are a lot of great characters and I can t wait to get my hands on the next book Five stars all day long Wow what a wonderful story Books about witches and curses don t usually interest me I m too analytical to get lost in a fantasy or paranormal world Winter s Curse was an extraordinary exception that kept me turning the pages I can t remember the last time I read a book that sparked my imagination like this didThe author was cleverly creative and delightfully descriptive The story was original and well thought out I would definitely recommend a Winter s Curse and am looking forward to the next book in the Season of the Witch series This is one of those reads ou find Laurus yourself expressing awe at the turn of every page It s not only a work with a uniue concept but also pushes the limits of story expectation by surprisingou with its narrative Wood uses the present tense to tell her story which accentuates the immediacy of everything that s going on It s not often that a book unravels its plot much in the way a film does revealing its points and incidents in real time as though the audience were moving through the story with its heroine Winter of the Rose Thorne Clan The reader gets to experience her world as she does and what a world it is It is strange in the most normal of ways with witches out of the broom closet living peacefully among humans in Massachusetts not Salem but Springfield The atmosphere of Wood s novel reminds the reader of Charlaine Harris s small town universe where vampires and fairies and weres and telepaths all mingle as though it ain t nothin but an ordinary Wednesday And here s the thing in Winter s Curse Wood springs the extraordinary on ou in the most ordinary of ways slipping it in between the action From slushy tears to segre A Lovely Wintery ReadSince Mother Nature decided to drop an ice storm on us last night I gave up on being productive and curled up with a blanket a cat and Winter s Curse It was one of my better choices April Wood has created a world where the magic. Uite A Witchy Tale This was one enchanting book Full of sadness but also much joy and love The end of the book includes some recipes Winter is such a sweet character and ou really want to see her curse lifted and for her to get the guy in every way possible by the ending This is full of cheeky wit as well as those Awe moments I loved the spells and the history that were presented I liked the way the plot and the pace flowed From start to finish Het Reservaat Van Ward Ruyslinck you won t want to put this spellbinding story down Ms Wood certainly has a magical way with words and I m excited to read of her work I can t believe how much I liked Winter s Curse I m not a huge fan of witchesI don t know why as magical creatures they have never held a place in my heart like vampires but this book dragged me in from the very first pageOMG From the very start of this bookou have the heroine running away from her homeland with her mother Rumunia. Koniec złotej epoki you have festivals witches on brooms in a sporting event a gambling grandmother and a curse I couldn t put this book down I had to see where this author would take me nextThe main protagonist in this story is very likable from the start You really feel for her the author does a great job of making me care as well as showing me this world of witches She does so seamlessly It s embedded into the story without me even knowing itIfou like the mystical and the magical pick up this book I mean it It is worth the time and money Winter s curse was a nice descriptive book that gave witches a new name to me I enjoyed the magic system the twists and turns and the characters were relatable as well In addition I enjoyed the realistic concepts of school and other things My only issue I had with this was that some of the plot was a tad convenient and made things tied up in a little bow because of this I give this book 455 stars I am so glad I saw this book on Jacueline E Smith s page and picked it up especially during this cold winter daynight I look forward to reading the rest of the series when I can acuire them and absolutely recommend it Author April L Wood has created a uniue world of witches that also blends with humans they coexist together I loved the different groups of witches and how ou could tell which clan they were in based on their physical characteristics The story revolves around Winter Rose Thorne who is trying to heal from the recent death of her mother finding her place at school and living with her pretty weird grandmother She is a patien. Teen ice witch Winter Rose Thorne barely escapes witch hunters before finding herself in danger once again after a children’s broom flying contest goes terribly awry When High Priestess Rose Thorne bets her granddaughter Winter’s womb in a broom flying contest and loses Winter wonders where the real danger.
