This historical omance set in ancient Egypt was an awesome surprise I enjoy finding new authors almost as much as I enjoy ereading favorite ones Ms Scott does a fine job in telling her story of templetavern dancer Nima and warriorspy Kamin fellow captives of their Egyptian enemies There s omance adventure mythology magic lots to love in this tale And as an extra added bonus it can be also ead as a stand alone which worked out just fine for me as I hadn t ead the first two books A clever fun book and very ecommended 35 4 starsThis was a pleasant surprise There was a lot of action and some omance and some supernatural stuff going on in here And let s not forget that it was set in Egypt in 650BC How often do you find omance books about that time period Not often I ll tell you I m definitely going to have to go back and ead the others in this series ARC provided by the publisher via Netgalley I eally enjoyed Dancer of the Nile For me it ticked all the boxes exciting omantic adventous mythological and magicalNima was an interesting female character She was brave and uick t Romantic Egyptian Mythological Gulliver s TravelsIt took me a while to get into the book The first third went slowly By the time they escaped there had been no Supernatural events As they traveled through the desert they an into multiple unusual instances that eminded me of Gulliver s TravelsThe later 23 were different It was clearly a Egyptian mythological influenced book I enjoyed the different encounters with the gods and goddesses and the style of the descriptionsThe love scene was erotic and graphic However it confused me She very clearly said she had never given a man a private dance However her behavior and lack of pain definitely made her seem uite knowled. Egypt 1500 BCENima’s beauty and skill as a dancer leads an infatuated enemy to kidnap her after destroying an Egyptian border town However she’s not the only hostage in the enemy camp Kamin an Egyptian soldier on a secret mission for Pharaoh has been taken as well Working together to escape the two of them embark on a desperate uest across the desert to carry word of the enemy’s invasion plans to Pharaoh.

Geable and experienced I was not 100% certain if she was a virgin or not The love story was beautiful and ended with words just as sweet However I would have liked an epilogue with a few details between betrothal and deathWhat can I do for you she asked looking him full in the face and smiling You do so much for me Just love me he said gathering her into his arms and lowering his lips to hers And so she did for many long and happy years until the gods kindly took them both into the Afterlife together forever as promisedI would try another book by this author I came across Veronica Scott s The Gods of Egypt series via Bookbub s daily list of books This was a free book and given the story was set in Ancient Egypt I was immediately interested I did not ealize until after I ead the novel that this story was the third in the series however that eally did not matter since each story stand alone This story is about a dancer and a soldier who were captured separately but are held prisoner by a group of enemy that is headed back to a secret stronghold The dancer shows the soldier compassion and soon their paths are intertwined Scott weaves omance into this mainly adventuremystery story with a healthy dose of Ancient Egyptian mythology Scott balanced the story between the three genres and created a very enjoyable story with worthwhile characters that eaders want to follow I have since ead the first shorter novel in the series but I m glad I ead Dancer of the Nile first I think it is a solid blended genre story as well as being a good length Entertaining enjoyable I liked the strong female character who didn t sit back and ely on the hunky soldier to save her but actually got off her backside and saved the day herself on than one occasion I ve ’s peopleAs they flee for their lives these two strangers thrown together by misfortune have to trust in each other to survive Nima suspects Kamin is than the simple soldier he seems but she finds it hard to esist the effect he has on her heart Kamin has a duty to his Pharaoh to see his mission completed but this clever and courageous dancer is claiming of his loyalty and love by the moment Kamin starts to.

Veronica Scott ½ 5 Summary

Een other eviews for this that moan about it not being believable Well when the book description clearly says Aided by the Egyptian god Horus and the Snake Goddess Renenutet beset by the enemy s black magic then unless you actually believe in this stuff of course it stretches credulity I enjoyed it and if you e prepared to accept that it s a work of historical fantasy and not 100% historically accurate then you might too How had they managed to capture such a seasoned warriorDancer of the Nile The Gods of Egypt 3 by Veronica Scott Whoopsdid not ealize when I chose this book it would be uite so action orientedI felt it was a bit predictable and I knew where the story was goingSPOILERSI think I d have enjoyed this alot had I ead the whole series Freuently I ead books as stand alones that maybe in a series Sometimes that works It did not work this timeI liked the atmosphere and world depicted in the book but it was way action oriented and omance oriented then I had thought it would be I was anticipating something that moved at a slower pace and was dialogue drivenNot ight for me but fans of Historical Romance with alot of action seuences will enjoy it FREE on today 7102019 The story was good butThis story was good but there was a very detailed sex scene and some other sexual eferences throughout the story Despite this the story was very engaging and the characters were well developed and drew you into the storyI eceived this book free from one of the book subscription emails fun adventureStepped outside my comfort zone here with Egyptian history didn t ealize it had so much paranormal influence with the Egyptian gods Interesting But eally just a well written fast paced story of escape and a ace to save Egypt Sexy but not overly so. Worry if it comes to a choice between saving Egypt or saving Nima’s lifewhat will he doAided by the Egyptian god Horus and the Snake Goddess Renenutet beset by the enemy’s black magic can Nima and Kamin evade the enemy and each the safety of the Nile in time to foil the planned attackCan there ever be a happy future together for the humble dancer and the brave Egyptian soldier who is so much than he seems.
